Wow Everyone!!!!
This has been a very trying week. We have found out that Madison does not have ADHD like we all thought. Instead she has been diagnosed with Oppositional Defiance Disorder.... O.D.D.
So this past week has been Counseling, Dr's, and whatever else life had thrown at me. It has been a rough one. However, it is nothing that we cannot handle. And if we stick with the care plan Madison will be just fine through all of this. (I have to wonder how I will be... LOL)
On top of that I had a friend who was very dear to me stay with us. I am down as her medical power of atty and well she was in bad shape..... so we thought. Last week I took her to her Dr. appt. and well she is just fine. All of her tests are ok, blood work great, the only thing that she needs to work on is her blood sugar. Friday I was gone all day dealing with things with Madison to come home and find that she had gotten into MY meds and helped herself. I am on some pretty potent meds for my neck while I wait for surgery. I always take great care to be very careful when I have to take them due to them being narcotics and the regulations on them are very strict. Well I have only a few left thanks to her. So needless to say she is out of here. I told her family that she in fact is NOT on her death bed and that was a shock to most of them. Her son Chris was with when we went to her Dr appt. and he heard the news just like I did. The sad part is that she has known this for some time now. Anyhow...... I have survived this week, and look forward to doing more stitching. I am selling my crochet items to raise money for co-pays for Madisons appointments and the huge deductable for the psychiatrist. If the prices are too high on my items and you really want something, just drop me an E-mail and we can negotiate...... jeanie0469@gmail.com
Thanks so much for the kind words on my items......
I hope to be able to figure out some more neat things to make very soon!!!!

OPERATION YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN
A few of you were wondering where I went since I hadn't posted lately.
I have started what I call OPERATION YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN
I am making LOTS of granny squares to make lap-ghans for Quincy's Veterans home. I have been stitching like crazy and am looking for all of the 6 inch granny squares that I can find. People have been awesome donating yarns for me to keep going. Tonight I teamed up with the group Free Stuff in Quincy to help with yarns and stitching. I am hoping to have a bunch of people to take yarn & hooks to so that they can stitch as well. I will be making a new blog to track our progress. I am so excited about this. I just want them to know that they are someone, they do matter, and how much I appreciate them. So, once this is all up and running I will get you all the link.
With all of that said if you have yarn or can make a few granny squares to donate, Drop me an E-mail and I will give you all the information

Madison's First Day of School...
Anyhow we had a great morning. She got out of bed like a champ and was ready for school before I was!! LOL We walked to the bus stop and talked the whole way. Now I go and get her in about 1/2 hour. I am thrilled that she wants to be a girl scout! That really made Mike and I happy. Hard to believe that she is in Second grade already. Anyhow since today is the first day of school I decided to post her school picture from last year.
I hope that everyones day is going great.

My Dad Rocks!!!!!
OK, for those of you who do not know my mom and I are getting ready to undertake making Cathedral Rose Window Afghan
However I have to wait until my mom gets finished with her current afghan. Which is no big deal because I am working on a friends late Birthday present and I have a few UFO's that I need to finish before I try to make this mega whompin afghan. It will be either 6 1/2 feet wide or 9 feet wide. I am not sure. Depends on who you talk to and which pattern they use.
Anyhow, my dad is a truck driver and got in Friday night. Mom and I showed him this pattern and he thought it was as beautiful as we did and gave us money to go to Wal-Mart to get yarn. So at 10pm friday night mom and I were at Wal-mart buying yarn (our 2nd yarn trip that day) Then Saturday, guess what he bought mom and I??
This cute Yarn caddy/organizer!!! Mom got a blue one and I got a pink one. I love it!!!
My dad is as supportive as my hubby is about my crocheting!!!
Thanks Dad you Rock!!!!

I'm Back Home!!!!
They moved recently and Mom gave me some wonderful family heirlooms! An afghan that was crocheted by my great- aunt Helen. The granny square afghan that she made while us kids were really little. And an octagon afghan that she made. I am so thrilled. Maybe it is because I am crocheting and none of my other siblings do. My dad spoiled mom and I big-time! He got the both of us a really cute yarn organizer thing. I love it and it is so cute!!!! I will post pictures tomorrow of everything.
Mom and I are gearing up to make some homemade peach jam. Then earlier tongiht my best friend Lisa came over and told me that she will bring me a huge box of apples from her trees. (she has 2 in her yard) My theory is waste no- want not anymore. The prices of things are so dang high!!!! So next year I will have a garden that will keep me plenty busy and I will be a canning/ freezing busy-bee.
Ok it is getting late and I am pooped. Happy stitching everyone!!!!

My mom crochet this afghan for myself and all of my siblings when we were little. Now our kids want Grandma to make them some. But we have lost the pattern and have no clue who created it or where it came from. If anyone has any info on this one, please hollar at me:)
